Lovely Morning Chit-Chat-Thread - August 2024

Ellie,  I've had an unusually lazy day and I feel awful for it so took Poppy for a walk and I feel better for it,  still not made supper will do soon, what did you have for dinner, a friend made us a trifle, maybe we'll share that.

|LOL I made myself a spa Bowl, was lovely funny i bought some strawberry trifles yesterday and a punnet of strawberry's was a treat

Ellie,  I love  spag bol  and strawberries all  berries and grow many on the allotment,  my early morning walk with Poppy is to pick some for breakfast which I have  with yoghurt ,  think I will have some tomorrow with ice cream  as well  as its forecast 30c for 2 days, PS the blackbirds like strawberries too but I can't net them as the birds get stuck in the netting, I'm too soft lol

Well going to be hot here, i will be doing nothing for a few days, no Sunday Roast, Cheese Sandwich will do me, I am easily  pleased, as long as I have some thing.

Know what you mean,  when it's hot you don't want to be cooking something hot to eat in a hot kitchen,  I usually find as I have to drink a little more my stomach feels full and I don't feel hungry anyway, a cheese sandwich sounds good to me

The temperature here managed to get up to a massive 21 degrees!

I don't know how you all cope with heatwave temperatures....I hate it when it gets so hot, especially at night.

My son is coming over tomorrow, so we will be siting chatting  like we always do, he only lives 15mins away, though works six days a week, some times up till 9pm, never stops, and I wait on him when's he is here, his reply while you can still do it, I will let you,

then says well i am getting older mum, i  do point out,  I am getting old I am your mum, oh yes is the reply.

Got to laugh 

We still like to look after our kids even if it's only for a couple of hours, and their all grown up, they will always be our babies,  mine tell me they let me do everything as keeping active is good for me lol

its so warm tonight, cooler outside  I think..

My conservarty is a lot cooler than lounge, have  patio doors open and can fill the cool air coming in, might sleep in there.

I will say Night i will not be long in going a bed.
