I can be affected by Ellie just being Ellie!
in a good way though of course.
Hi again Bev, which came first, broken sleep or the bad dreams, Sorry if i am being nosey but in my healthcare years studying reasons for poor sleep was important, Bev i ask because broken sleep can be a reason for bad dreams as you don't get enough deep sleep which is very important for the brain, Other reasons are being unwell, which we all are and antidepressants

We must sing from the same Hymn Sheet, a pleasant sound.
Hiya . I will say the bad dreams its been going in for weeks now ive not changed any medication or been given anything new . It's probably an overactive mind . I don't have caffeine on a night or alcohol and normally just av bowl fruit so I'm putting it down to overactive mind
Hi Bev, I do hope things improve for you as I know only too well what lack of sleep can do. The difference is that I know what causes my lack of sleep! I wonder is this the same dream repeating, or different distressing dreams?
I really do think when t has been going on for as long as this, you need to ask a professional for help. Maybe your Specialist Nurse, Oncologist or even your GP who can refer you for Counselling to get to the root cause. Or what about calling the McMillan Helpline (number at bottom of every page!).
You are spot on about the mind being overactive. You have probably got to the stage of thinking about your dreams before you go to bed! It's worth a try to take some Camomile Tea or other herbal tea as Ellie suggested and do something relaxing like reading a "happy ending" kind of book, before trying to sleep! Good luck!
Love Annette x
