  • Oh Ulls how thought full, practical things,  rather than some thing just fo the sake of buying it.

    Top Marks, xx.

  • Hi everyone, just popping in to say hello as not been here in a while.

Arrived in Glasgow yesterday for Celtic Connections although we haven't booked any gigs yet, likely to be low key for us this trip.

A couple of pints and a nice curry nearby getting back to watch the Traitors. Lazy morning so far, haven't eaten yet or got any shopping in so will go out for brunch.

  • Amongst the positives this past week...

    • Meeting with hospice nurse re future care (arrangements now in place for home treatment rather than having to go to a&e).
    • Good music lesson.
    • Good counselling session at the hospice.
    • Massage at the hospice.
    • A Loony Dook in the local bay.
    • Guests visiting.
    • A day of drinking, eating and watching football (not something I ever do).
    • A naming ceremony for a new baby within the family. Parents did me the honour of including my surname.
    • A meeting at Maggies re a new group for those with Incurable cancer.
    • An excellent group discussion at Maggies re healthy eating followed by some lovely food at a vegan cafe.
    • A nice catch up with my line manager over coffee.

Sorry, I know this is not 'engaging' as such but you're all too chatty for me. Slight smile

  • Joy Don’t forget to put a  bottle of her favourite perfume in with the tap. And post a photo of her baby bell cake.
    Happy birthday to Julie CheeseCandle️x

  • You have accomplished a lot, pat on the back, you have done well.

Just enjoy your trip, what ever you may do, if just taking it easy, so be it., we have to do what is best for us, and what we want to do.

  • Wow Mikel there are a lot of positives. Well done Clap you are very engaging! What is a Loony Dook?

    Judy

  • Every thing lined up, hey you just enjoy the activates.

To chatting, Nar never lol lol.

  • Well Judy, the actual Loony Dook is an annual event at South Queensferry in Scotland where folk don swimming costumes and get into the freezing water for a dip.

I just prefer the term to 'wild water swimming'. The local bay is popular for year round swimming and I've really enjoyed going along since late December - it's invigorating. Slight smile

  • That will be a bit BRR, South Queensferry, where the Fourth Road Bridge is?

  • Yes Ellie - meant to say it's every new year (at FRB).
