You are showing your age now Eddie, opportunity  knocks.

Ellie i'm a very young 58 and i remember much older programs than that, i even remember when there were only 2 channels and B+W and still had a better choice of programs worth watching

I can also remember those days, and no 24hour tv , your right every thing was better then/

Sundays were great too everything shut, was always a family day for us, a trip to the park that's when parks were nice, a long walk for a picnic  or the neighbours round for a garden "party" and occasionally a trip to the seaside, good ties,

memories  are a  wonderful thing. .Every thing was better, as they say the good old days.

Used to  knock at neioughbour's and borrow some thing, now a days,  people do not know at times, who  lves  next door to them.

Life was  simple, in many ways, though better in many ways..

We knew a family 3 doors away and were so close they were practically family,  everyone talked to each other, you didn't need to lock your doors, if anyone had a problem the others would help and if you were naughty your mum always found out,

LOL so right, the neioughbours always told your parents, and then watch out.

You have got me started now,  could  go on about the simple  times, for ever, never had what the youngest's have of today, Think we  appreciated what we did have, though.

Never had all the gadgets todays kids had that's true. But we had so much more of the important things in life

You have hit the nail on the head, and thats the trouble of a lot of problems in todays society, 

They need a good wash, a haircut, and a spell in the army.
