  • Hi everyone,

Hope you are all Ok since I went on holiday. I've had a quick look, so hope I've not missed any news.

So another chit-chat thread has started and already pages of it have piled uo - so can't read that lot I'm afraid.

So, we managed our trip but it was sooo tiring - especially towards the end when we running on empty. Just not used to driving distances anymore, but glad we made the effort.

Won't bore you all with a pile of holiday snaps, but thought you might like to see a couple of the places we stayed in that dated from 11th and 12th centuries. The castle was the best. It's Stogursey in Somerset.

Now all I've got to do is drum up the energy to get painting again as I've an exhibition at the end of the year and must make some new stuff. Just doing the washing has worn me out!

    Hugs from Rainie

The Prebendal Manor, Nassington. A medieval manor house built over King Canutes court.

The gardens are laid to a medieval design with yew topiary representing the Trinity.

You walk over the moat on a 12th C bridge to get to the converted gatehouse. No drawbridge though!

  • Well Rainie, you did it and it all came good. You are tired down to fun adventures not day to day stress.

great pics, do like the walk over the most.

Relax a bit then onwards and upwards with the painting.
