Hello all.
I have to go to an ultrasound on my neck - suspected salivary gland stone or enlarged lymph nodes.
I have a phobia about my neck being touched. Has anyone had one and could talk me through the process and how to hard they press please?
Anything touching my neck makes me gag. It's a PTSD thing.
Hi Lucy Locket
I'm sure if you explain to the person doing the test, they'll take their time and do their best to help you. Arrange with them that if it's too much for you, they will stop and give you time to calm yourself. It shouldn't take too long to do the scan. Don't worry and put it out of your mind till your appointment. I'm certain you will be fine as long as they know prior to scanning.
Best wishes for your test,
A x
