Looked at the prostate forum, a bit of unhappiness there, was advised to look in at your group.

I hope to join in when I have made sense of it all.

  • Your more than welcome,, you will find your way around, and you might make sense of it, though i have to say, every one is in the same boat, though we are not sinking, and try and help every one, when needed,

I am sure you will fine, may take a little while.

Hope others come in to welcome you.

  • Hi sickman, Welcome! Not so much unhappiness on here, more silliness and laughter though. It’s better to laugh at what throws us than let it get us down! I am sure you will be made very welcome and when you feel you want to join in you will soon feel at home! Mostly clowning with words of wisdom and support as and when required.

  • Hi Maggie

How are you doing, not seen you for a little while.

  • Hello sickman, Welcome to our bit of the forum. We all try to support each other here and there's always someone to offer advice. We're all in the same boat, even if we have different cancers. It's all about lifting the spirits whenever we can. Look forward to seeing you around. All the best, Rainie x

  • Hi Ellie, I have been doing a lot of sleeping!  I am getting there but not soon enough for me, I feel I am not progressing quickly enough although the nurses say I am doing well. I have finally been able to sleep on my right side again but I have to position myself a little carefully still, but at least I can lie that way for a bit again now.
I have been out, very exciting, once to have stitches removed and once for my flu jab. Never thought those outings would be called exciting but there you go!
I am waiting for an appointment to come through for my results and follow up. Don’t these things seem to drag? Once I have been to the hospital I think I shall feel better, as then I will know where I stand and if I need further treatment. With luck I shall be drawing a line under it, or starting another chapter!
I think what’s happening with me is cabin fever! I think I need to go out and about again, without stimulation I get dopey and boring. So the sooner I get moving the better!!

    I hope you are ok.

    love and hugs

  • Hi Sickman, Welcome aboard the rollercoaster we are all trying to get off!

The problem here is, we are all sick but trying not to let others know, so it has got to the stage the silliness and laughter gets to be the normal! You will soon get the hang of it......the silliness that is......not the site! It can be a bit tricky to negotiate your way round it but please persevere and I hope you will be a regular contributor soon!

  • Hi Maggie, I am sure your nurses are telling the truth when they say you are doing well. I think it is just that we put pressure on ourselves to do things twice as quick as the nurses and doctors tell us! I know how frustrating it is but slow and steady is what they always told me, so try and be kind to yourself and you will soon be looking forward to some "real" days out!
