OMG!

Yes, I would believe it. But at least you managed to get somebody to come round and look at your job. That in itself is an achievement. I've tried three different 'handymen' to come and do a number of small maintainence jobs and only one responded and that was to say he no longer lived in the area. Aaargh.   Rainie x

Hi Donna Hamhat, thank you for being so caring, I'm deeply touched. I'm fine, I've lost a friend but Mrs Tvman has lost a mum as well as a friend. I'd love to say that she is fine but understandably she still has moments of deep sadness. She and her sister are in the process of clearing the house of personal papers etc. I'm trying to be a strong person for her and I hope I'm succeeding.

In respect of the first person, the builder, he has been doing a lot of work for Mrs Tvman's brother who we asked to get him to call with us. We're looking at it that he is a builder and not a roofer and doesn't have specialist knowledge of roofing. However, we are wondering how he missed a broken tile! A lesson for us to make sure that we get 2 or 3 quotes in future.
