Hi everyone. I have a phone appointment this Friday afternoon with consultant from Addenbrooke's Oncology. I was referred back to the clinic since I was told my cervical cancer is incurable. I'm hoping he can recommend some delaying of the inevitable, since I was told pelvic exenteration was not advisable due to my age as I'm 80. I'm not sure what this treatment entails, if any or even if it's suitable for me, so will have to wait and see. Is anyone here in a similar positioin regarding terminal prognosis treatment? Someone recently mentioned immunotherapy, but no idea what form this takes.. Anyway I have lots of questions to ask him.
Wish me luck.
Ann
Hi Ann, hoping all goes well on Friday for you. Don't forget ask permission to record the conversation on your phone then if you've further questions later you can remember to ask them at a later date. I always have my notebook with me but seem to freeze when it comes to writing things down.
Hugs, Barb xx
