Moles: please don't kill them. They are lovely, though I know it's irritating when they dig. So... get some Jeyes fluid and a box of really cheap T-bags. Soak T-bags in the Jeyes fluid and stuff them down into the tunnel - which you can find by going straight down the middle of the pile of earth. This is what the man from the council here does. It worked for us.
The smell is so awful to them they will abandon the run. Using this method you can drive them over your boundary. Also plant loads of wild garlic in your borders. They don't like that for the same reason and you'll have clumps of lovely bulbs with yellow flowers each year. Hope that helps.
