Here by special request, the latest in the Lovely Morning series.
I love Christmas too but agree that nowadays it starts much too early. It seems as if it is just seen by the majority as a time for getting as much as possible and spending what they haven’t got on presents that aren’t wanted or needed. I’m not a Scrooge but so much pressure is put on people to spend too much. The best part of Christmas for me is being invited to spend the day with either of my sons and their family.
Advent is the four weeks leading up to Christmas and for me that is a long enough build up. That’s another part of Christmas that I really look forward to the church services and the carols.
I know that not everyone is a Christian and apologise if that offends.
love and hugs

Hi Maggie growing up we always went to midnight Mass, which was loverly. Its something I really enjoy. Being with family and friends and carols, food the best parts xx

Definitely the best part of Christmas is being with family all together
I like the Christmas eve service, families all together sing Christmas hymes
Good morning all, still mild here but windy. We had some horrific rain yesterday, took me 30 minutes to drive a mile due to floods on the roads. This is a strange day as I have just received my first ever disability payment! Brings home the reality of the situation. Maybe I will go to the pub today lol, every cloud and all that :)
