Here by special request, the latest in the Lovely Morning series.

  • Hi Noplanb I'm still on immunotherapy had 28th round last Monday, they said I'm doing well on it so left me on it. I'm purely matenance.

I do believe that mental attitude has a lot to do with it. Be yourself and keep going. Sending hugs xx

  • I did not have them just the infusions of immunotherapy i have lung cancer, had chemo before that but caused a heart attack,No one is ready to go, as my oncologist  said at start for me, always new things always hope,,

  • I only knit if a baby on the way, so if some one is expecting Moi let me know

  • I couldn't have the tablets (blood clotting issues I have)  As for chemo or immunotherapy  therapy later was my best bet. Sometimes I think I need shooting. Just dipped into holiday insurance!!! £1334.02 for a week in Spain in November. What a PRICE, I'll think on that one.

I don't think I'm eligible  to be expecting Ellie lol but will keep trying RoflRoflRofl

  • Yes keep trying,  why not. xx

  • Hi Moi2, Early on in my dx my quote was £9,000 for 4 weeks in Spain in February! It was a lot more than the holiday had cost! Eleven phone calls later, I got insured with MIA insurance for about £300! Now I have annual insurance with StaySure! Keep trying! Check out the Holiday Insurance chat here on the site!

Ellie, If I could, I would give you a reason to knit but it really would be a miracle!

    Love Annette x

  • Miracles do happen, so be careful xx

  • Oh, that would be a great one! In the meantime, you could always knit baby clothes for charity! I did some, when our first grandchild was born, it is very satisfying!

I am knitting an Aran jumper at the moment. I used to knit loads of jumpers, jackets and little dresses for family and myself. Problems with tendons and lymphoedema and arthritis stopped me for years but have started again. Doing it at a more leisurely pace nowadays means I can do it again. I just don’t do it for hours anymore. I do enjoy doing it though. So now my lunch is cooking and I am sat down and doing a few rows of knitting. I will probably do a bit more this afternoon too, but I will stop before I start to ache!

    love and hugs

    Maggie xx

  • My sister was like you she could knit anything but as her dementia got worse she couldn't concentrate on a pattern. She'd pick it up knit a few straight rows, if she dropped a stitch She'd put it down for about a week, then start again. I said she was knitting me a very long scarf I only knitted when my babies were little. xx
