Here by special request, the latest in the Lovely Morning series.
Hi tvman,
I read your gardening message and I am so impressed with all the hard work you do in the garden.
my husband does the hard work but I am pleased we have leeks I have grown and carrots and parsley.
also for the first time our small pear trees have produced several conference pears whic are ready to be picked xxx
Thanks Ruth, you know how much it takes to get good leeks, carrots and parsley.
I also have a Conference pear tree that gives me a few pears. How strange it is that you have to take the pears off the tree and put them in the fridge for a few days before eating them.
And then we're told that to get the best crop from the tree we need a companion tree! So once we have two trees we can enjoy a good crop from both for many a year. .
Let's enjoy the best pears every year Ruth
Tvman xx
