feeling low

For the last week or so I’ve been struggling to eat. The back of my tongue is very sore and dry, so I spoke to the consultant yesterday she prescribed some mouthwash, which was duly delivered and I started using today. I have been monitoring my tongue and mouth generally and today I discovered some lumps at the back of my tongue. I don’t have a clue what the are and the specialist nurses have finished for the weekend so I can ring and ask there advice and I don’t know if it’s serious enough to ring the RSU as this is for emergencies regarding treatment, on the other hand I’m really struggling to eat and I feeling very tired and weak. Any advice would be welcome

  • Good morning everyone and thank you for the support. I’ve spent the last couple of day in the hospital being treated for the sore mouth issues that is preventing me from eating what has caused me to loose a lot of weight. I am feeling much better today, I’ve been re-hydrated and had all sorts of mouth wash and other mouth treatment and antibiotics. I have to have more blood tests today  and if they are ok and my eating continues to improve I will be allowed to go home, I have also been given some fortisip drinks to try and build me up. I love my food and never have problems eating so I really want the improvement to continue. Have a great day everyone, thank you for the good advice and support most of all thank you for being there for me.
