Hello all
Well after a bit of a delay and a few phone calls to understand the results, I finally got confirmation of my recent scan results. This was the first scan to assess whether my immunotherapy treatment was working. I am so pleased to say that it is. The scan of my head and neck was assessed as stable as it is difficult to differentiate residual disease from post radiotherapy changes, but no progression or changes which is a very good sign. Of more certainty is the fact the cancer spots in my lungs are no longer visible on the CT scan at all! So a really excellent response and I guess I can now say I am in the stable Mabel club. After 18 months of nothing working it’s a huge relief. Nivolumab is a wonder drug when it works…..
