So it’s 6 days since my first chemo and the side effects are less than I thought. Bonus. As it’s palliative I said if it was bad I would stop but apart from extreme tiredness seem ok - so far and taking anti sickness tabs. . Next dose is in 2 weeks so Covid, blood and scan prior. Life’s just tests results and treatment now.!

I hope all in group are managing to keep going smiling and positiveHeart

, I have chocolate delivery off my eldest along with soup and Netflix to pass time. Living the dream just in isolation. Never spent so much time alone in my life as last 18 months. Booster jab in 2 weeks

  • Well done for coping with the chemo. It is a slog the covid tests and scans etc as well.

I had all that for my radiotherapy which is now over and I feel much better now with headaches much improved. Quality of life is important when we are palliative xx

Can't get better news than that Lily. Let that tiredness be your friend, relax and enjoy it. Choc, soup and Netflix, I think you've got the hang of this already! Xxxx

  • Dear Lily, Glad to hear the chemo has been on the OK side of things. I agree about all the tests - mine come along in batches and you just feel exhausted by the whole thing and glad to see the back of them for a bit. Lovely to have choccies through the post. That's the ticket. I like mine with a nice glass of sherry. Very comforting and it helps get me off to sleep.  Big hugs. Rainie x

Well done Lilly. It's hard to stick with palliative chemo if the going gets tough, so I'm glad it's treating you well at the moment. I have everything crossed for you that it stays like that. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

    Much love,

    Stuart x

  • Glad to hear  that the chemo is manageable, the rounds of tests and treatment do impose order and routine don't they! Chocolate, soup and Netflix sounds lovely.

    Best wishes

    Sarah

  • Well done Lily, long may the side effects keep at bay! Good luck with the scan too. xx

  •  I can't do chocolate but do enjoy a glass of red to help me relax Rainie. Enjoy! xx
