Dreams about death

Hi Salis, I don't sleep well either. I do dream about family members who have died, quite a lot and find it comforting to have spent time with them again, even in a dream! I'm sure that might sound daft! Thankfully, I don't have nightmares. The other thing that strikes me is how my dreams have changed. I used to always be able bodied in my dreams, sometimes playing badminton, doing Tai Chi or even skating or skiing. However now, apart from an occasional time, I'm now on crutches or in a wheelchair so it makes me think I have finally accepted the present but it has taken a while and I am one of the most positive people I know! 

Have you tried relaxation techniques in bed before trying to sleep, maybe that would help! I'm sure others will have some ideas, in the morning!

I don't dream much, but your dreams about family members sound lovely. Are they reassuring to you?

In my dreams I am usually  disembodied, so though I have sensation and move about I have no sense of how, and no image of myself. As far as I remember I have always been like this in my dreams.

I have tried lots of different methods to  help me to sleep, nothing helps consistently. I think the best thing is to try not to get too wound up about it.

Yes the dreams are reassuring and, as Annette says, it is comforting to be with them again, even if it is only a dream.

Have any of you ladies dreamt about me? I do ask this for scientific purpose not for titivation.

Thanks OBS, I am having to rethink my Xmas list in the light of this negativity! We are meant to be supporting each other in all ways, including dream content.
