I was wondering if anyone feels they might benefit from being part of an art group specifically for those here. I'm an artist, though I have to admit to you that I've produced absolutely nothing for ages due to being ill and in hospital, not having anywhere to exhibit for aeons and generally being extremely knackered out most of the time. But then I started thinking maybe I could do something positive about it. I've worked within what's called the 'Arts in Health' sphere and done a lot with things like colour therapy. I'd also like to say that you don't have to be rich to make art. I've done a whole exhibition made from recycled materials. It's all about taking yourself to another place for a while and having a bit of messy fun. No judgemental rubbish or anything like that. And if you don't think you're able to draw anything that looks remotely like what it's supposed to look like, well, that doesn't matter either. I think that maybe for starters you might like to message me if you are interested and then I'll try and work out a little programme. Just for us. Let me know what you think. Rainy X
Art & nature: a great medicinal compound! Have you any sort of garden at the new house or is it the usual turf laid over builder's rubble? Hope it becomes a beautiful relaxing space for you both to enjoy. Rainie x
It's got a lovely flat small garden turfed, landscaped and looking lush. We are looking forwards to pottering around when the sun comes back out.
It was worth becoming skint for!
The artist in residence at Nymans National Trust garden is an acquaintance, we have bought some pictures over the years and he loves painting the bark on the birches. I love it when he puts a camouflaged deer behind a glade of birches.
We havnt put any pictures up yet, we are in respite after all the stress of moving. Xxx
Our garden is a typical dogs owners, non gardeners, garden, but we are so lucky to have the space. We are right on the edge of Sheffield, within a few hundred metres of the Peak District, so lots of lovely views on our doorstep. Making the garden collage was a challenge finding colours other than green and brown, the joy of closeups!

I used to just see hard work when I looked at our previous garden, now we still have trees at the end which we can enjoy looking at but they are someone else's responsibility! I reckon 10 minutes will see the lawn mown without too much puffing and panting at the finish! Luvly jubly.
We've got a gardener who is actually a gardener: not just some bloke with a set of power tools. After we'd found him, the relief of having somebody else to do the garden was palpable. I'm enjoying the garden again and not seeing a mountain of jobs everywhere. Relief. It's lovely you have the space landscaped already. Rainie x
We were in Ecclesall for 28 years. It was lovely to be able to get out of town so quickly. Used to spend a lot of time in Whirlow Park too, as well as Ecclesall Woods. Are you near there or Ranmoor way? Lots of photo inspiration. I used to do a lot at Grindleford and at the back of Hathersage. Have a lovely time at Aviemore. Rainie x
