Oh Tvman you must be so excited! I'm excited for you, to visit your daughter is one thing but to see your new granddaughter for the first time, is so very   special! Just to get to the stage of booking flights is great!

We have also booked to go away for the BH weekend, it is terrific to have something to look forward to at long last. As you say 17th May is the next date when things ease another bit. Let's hope it means the BH weekend will be a good one for all of us.
Actually it came to mind, your granddaughter may just be trying to hold on until it's almost time to meet her grandparents!!!

I sooooo have my fingers crossed for you Tvman...and for your daughter to.

Thanks everyone for your warm, thoughtful messages of good fortune. I couldn't wish for a better circle of friends.

My daughter was taken to hospital at 2.30am today as she was having contractions but sent home about 6am with the advice to wait until she has a certain number of contractions in so many minutes. 

The waiting continues...

Hi everyone, I'm extremely happy to say that my daughter had a little girl at 2.17 this morning. She's lovely and I can't wait to see them both. Mother and daughter are fine.
