Hi Jim788 just a follow on from my chasing and waiting I was awaiting pre-arranged phone call on Monday from specialist nurse to discuss me starting on enzalutamide/xtandi tablets and bang on time nurse rang time being 11am discussion done thought I would mention my bone scan dilemma and was told she would look into for me and apologized 15-15 pm my mobile rang it was the medical physics team asking me if I could make the next day for my scan this I did so just wondering about what happened to my letter as told its in the post its been 5 days unfortunately not yet arrived me thinks this was a fib as has already said one has to fight your corner and be assertive thanks to the specialist nurse for sorting
PS I don't sleep very well apart from sleeping tablets anyone got any remedies
Hi Jim, I am so pleased your Specialist Nurse managed to sort things out quickly for you. That is what she is meant to do but you have to know WHO to ask!
I haven't had a full night's sleep (ie longer than about 3 hours) for as long as I can remember. I did try sleeping tablets for two nights but hated the feeling in my head with them! I probably did sleep for about six hours but it wasn't a natural sleep, so felt like a zombie during the day. That was about 5 years ago and I haven't taken them since. I like to see our grandchildren and couldn't even have a conversation after these pills, so stopped them!
I usually spend most of the night doing jigsaws and word games on Apps on my iPad, or read books on my Kindle. To be honest, most nights I would come to this site and read lots of posts and answer some but recently it has been very hard to do. The jigsaws and word games are free apps and you can choose to do a 12 piece or a 440 piece jigsaw, it depends on you! These things, I can do in bed with the light off, so I don't disturb my husband but at some point, he usually wakes up and brings me a cup of hot chocolate or tea!
You could always start a Blog on the site, or read some! Sorry I have no other ideas for getting to sleep but I'm sure there will be something here on the site to help! Or others will give you their ideas!
Love Annette x
