I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

Thanks for your advice Ruth. Every house is different in the road and believe it or not  the agent we are using has sold just about every house in it. They have also achieved the asking price. La Norbette thinks it is a tiny bungalow with a huge garden. She says therein lies the problem. I think she is right, mind you she is always right!

We will review after this weekend. Worse than scanxiety at the moment!

  • Hi

I hope you get the house you want. It's a big decision to sign on the dotted line but I'm sure you will have the guts to go through with it.

Good luck with the sale of your own house.

Thanks tvman, we have moved loads of times in the past  just forgotten what a nightmare it can be.

Either we move or I snuff it, whatever comes first, the way things are going, snuffing it seems more lkely!

  • Yes I think your wife maybe right.

if peolple want a bungalow as they are older they may not want the gardening and will need a gardener . My mum relied on a deadened and it worked well for her

  • Hi Norberry

Have come in at end of thread as usual but if I am right (and I am not usually) and you are selling the small bungalow w huge garden - we didn't sell ours until we got the agent to update the particulars to say potential to extend STPP and then it went quite quickly.  Hope it goes soon.

You may have a point there Deb1E. We do have a loft room with a window so there is definitely an option there.

Will wait for the weekend then discuss strategy . Thank you for your suggestion.

  • No problem fingers crossed

  • My 3 good things.

    1. My other half and youngest daughter who still lives at home, are both having twice weekly covid tests, so that means I get to hug them both twice a week now after a negative test.
    2. I went to the shops today, by myself for the first time since covid hit. Felt good to feel normal again.
    3. I haven’t been to the hairdresser yet, but the dog got pampered today. She doesn’t look happy about it though.
