I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

    1. Went to Waitrose on my own.

    2. Nearly managed to work the scanning technology without help. Will know next time.

    3. Came home and read SiTs latest fortune cookie post . That caused  an accident but very large nappy successfully saved the day.

    4. Its bad taste I know but it is life as we know it!

1 Has a lovely soak in the bath using Neals Yard products, a gift from a friend.

2 My sister came over & we took Sula for a walk. She was great, stayed away from the wheels & had a wee ride too. Loved it Blush

3 Had a tumble in the chair when we got back from our walk, entirely my fault, I misjudged the ramp & didn’t wait for my sister to close the gate.

It was a slow, controlled tumble, I didn’t fall out just landed on my side & my sister went & got the frame, problem solved.
My OH took it well, there’s bound to be some bumps on the way, and we’ll have another look at that ramp. It’s exactly the same size as the others so I think I just rushed it.

Another successful day, the wind was biting though.

    xx

You do know Tina, don't you, that everyone reading this goes hot and cold. If it happens again, wait a month until the bruises are gone and you are OK then give us all a report.  Too stressful. Xxx

  • Tina, ignore Norberry and go out again asap, just take it slowly, hopefully the weather will improve, in the meantime wrap up warm, it will help against the bruises if you fall again too.

    Best wishes

Of course Sal is right.  I didn't mean don't go out again, just don't bloody fall again. That's what happens when you mix women, vehicles and drugs.

I will  it’s given me more confidence because nothing bad happened. Also I had my phone with me. OH suggested putting me in a sleeping bag in the chair till it warms up a bit more. It reminds me of all those Billy Connelly sketches about things you see advertised in the paper xx

  • We splashed out on walking sleeping bags this winter, very snug for sitting around.

    Sarah

  • You are looking very snug. Lovely dog as well xx

Everyone should be in one of those until 70 degrees outside reigns supreme.. the dog already has one it seems.
