it struck me that a few of us are having tough times, whether emotionally or physically, so thought perhaps we should resurrect this for 2020.
and I will kick it off
1. Finally made it through the worst of cycle 2 Carbo/caelyx side effects, touch wood, no being sick now for 3 days, thank the lord!
2. Walked round the local ponds with my best friend in winter sunshine yesterday, ducks and geese and thousands of snowdrops.
3. Today a trip to Waterstones, my favourite shop to buy new books, always a pleasure

Hi!
I did get an offer - of the asking price. I said hmmm, shall I accept it? Maybe. Ok. Yes.
so that’s one good thing. Two others
- I got to my appointment with at the anticoagulation clinic. In and out inside 30 minutes.
- I bought myself some nice hand cream. All that hand washing is drying out my skin.
xx
That's brilliant news on the house daloni! Very many congrats!!
Now comes the packing...... Or will you just employ someone for that?
So happy for you!

I have no medical training, everything I post is an opinion or educated guess. It is not medical advice.
Pretty rubbish day with more corona casualties. My daughter won’t be going to Uganda next month. She’s gutted but stoical about it too. Says a country like Uganda with such poor healthcare facilities has to try to protect its citizens. So I’m focusing on the good things.
1. I took my daughter out for pudding at our local gastric pub. A nice little treat.
2. I braved London for an amazing textiles exhibition at an even more amazing building. Two Temple Place was built as the London office of Lord Astor. His main office was a huge room, the size and grandeur to match any of the London monger halls. It has giant stained glass windows at either end commissioned from cathedral window designers. One depicts sunrise and the other sunset. They are beautiful and you can get close enough to touch them. The exhibition was good too.
3. An afternoon nap. Mmmmm. I do like a nap.

Hi daloni
congratulations on the house sale! The successful appointment and nothing so glorious as really nice hand cream. Xx
Tarte tatin - yummy!
1 have come to visit a friend in Newcastle
2 we found a good microbrewery
3 visiting Hadrian's Wall today
Keep safe everyone xx
I love Hadrian’s Wall. Standing on top, wind in my hair, imagining the Centurians marching feet.
My three good things yesterday
1. My daughter and I went for aromatherapy massages. The therapist was lovely and we both needed a nap afterwards
2. I knocked up a batch of salted caramel chocolate popcorn bars. Mmmmm
3. Walking the dog in the late afternoon sunshine after a rainy day
xx
Doing my three good things everyday is a help in these dark times. Sometimes I do it here, other times it’s in my notebook that I keep by my bed.
1. I completed a 1000 piece jigsaw. It was 1000 years of history in 1000 pieces. The picture was very busy and colourful which made it quite an easy puzzle to do.
2. I made apple and summer berry crumble for pudding. I keep bags of frozen berries in the freezer and adding a handful to the apples makes a really delicious crumble.
3. I went for a dog walk with my neighbour. We picked up Noodle’s bother Blaze on the way then brought them back to my garden for a play. The two of them ran round and round and round. It was so fun to watch them and Noodle passed out cold on the sofa with exhaustion afterwards
Hospital seemed to be functioning normally and I had my scan.
The owner of the holiday let offered a full refund without having to be asked.
A relative who is older than us offered to do our shopping. I declined, because he needs to protect himself, but it shows how much kindness is about at the moment.
What a strange but rather nice Mother’s Day that was. My three good things:
1. My daughter got up early to let the dog out. When I came down she made me a cup of tea and gave me a hand made card and a heart-shaped box of Sanctuary Spa goodies. She sent me back to bed for a lie in and walked the dog, the. made banana muffins while I slept. I came down not only to the smell of baking but also a clean kitchen. She made me lunch too. I felt very spoilt.
3. My big girl called from her university room. Had anything arrived in the post? Not yet, I said. Something to look forward to tomorrow
3. We got out for a walk in the afternoon sunshine. There were loads of people out and about but we kept a safe distance
xx
