Sadly I have started to say when someone in the bank or someone I know in passing, say hello, or hi how are you, without knowing my Diagnosis, I have started replying you don't want to know.
I think this is better than saying I'm fine, or I'm good.

I’m not sure I agree. I think lots of times the “how are you” question is just manners. The important people know how I am. I find it helps me if I can give a cheery “I’m fine, thank you” to the person in the bank. Not everyone has to know and I don’t carry a big neon sign above my head saying “I’ve got incurable cancer” even if I feel sometimes as though I do.
