1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!

2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!

3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.

Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

    Did a (gentle) Zumba class.

Met a friend and had a good laugh.

The lemon drizzle cake was pretty good as well.

I made a baked custard for my gluten-free daughter who wanted a custard tart filling without the pastry. If was delicious

I enjoyed sitting on the sofa looking at my garden it’s beautiful

I found a nice pair of sandals in the summer sales

Isn't the sunshine great. It just brightens the days.

    My three good things

I have my daughter and little Ted (7 weeks) staying until tomorrow. Can't have too much of that little chap I just want to sit with him all day.

My son from New Zealand is also here and helping with all sorts of little jobs that have been ignored until now.

We all had a fabulous walk and picnic in the Cheviots yesterday. Including paddling through the burn with shoes and socks off.

    That sounds lovely .

    My three good things.

    1. I got back on my e-bike! It’s been a couple of months since I had the energy

    2. Sitting in the sunshine in the garden. I resisted the urge to weed and simply enjoyed

    3. My daughter didn’t need my help to make a pair of trousers and a pair of shorts from the most outrageous African print fabric. Skills!

Insomnia has the better of me so I’ll post my three good things from yesterday

    1. My weekly trip to the hospital was short and sweet. No chemo. Bloods all fine.

    2. The cherry seller was outside the station on the way home and we had an entertaining argument about whether or not he was going to accept the £1 he let me off two weeks ago when he had no change. We agreed I’d put it in a charity box.

    3. I had a nice dinner in the garden with my girls

Hi all, It is sunny here. Sunshine is such an uplift. There was a cherry seller on the edge of town when we left for the city. I knew I wasn't to eat before surgery so we didn't purchase any the. The season is long enough he should still be there when we get back. I get out to go home today.

    Three from yesterday:

    1) A walk in the park before going to hospital

    2) The surgery went well. I was told this by hubby to whom the surgeon spoke while I was still too sleepy to understand.

    3) The hospital staff has been so attentive and empathetic.

    Today:

    1) Saw the oncologist/gynaecologist  who  said what came out did not look cancerous

    2) good visit here this morn wiith brother

    3) I can go home today

A fourth could be getting caught with all the post here

I’m so pleased for you, . That’s such great news. I do hope you’re home now and tucked up with a nice cup of tea.

    My three good things today

    1. Sunshine and flowers in my garden. The agapanthus is so nearly out. The dahlia (dark pink, copper leaves) is in full bloom, as are the day lilies

    2. I feel well enough to make some plans to see friends next week. Until this week I’ve not been sure if I’d have to cancel on the day and I’d kind of withdrawn

    3. I might have to shave my legs soon. Not needed to do that since January

I’m so pleased your op went well Ms. Lin and your oncologist is so positive.

    My three good things are

    1. Mowed the lawns. Hopefully next time I do them I’ll be ‘recovered’ from the last cycle and won’t have to worry about getting them done in my few ‘good’ days.

    2. Actually beginning to think about where I would like to go away to once I’m feeling well enough. The world is my oyster. Well within my budget and EHIC card as no insurance otherwise. Still that gives me plenty of scope.

    3. Had tea with two of my lovely neighbours.

  • Still enjoy reading all the good things - glass half full today...

    1. My children are all away at scout camp and so hubby and I can actually do things we enjoy today - AND we don't have to pay for a babysitter to go out tonight. I know this may sound ridiculous but this is a BIG deal!

    2. Been out and about on my ebike lots this week - feeling better for it.

    3. I've finally come off the steroids (been on them nearly a year). Hoping I can manage without them and the brain tumour behaves! Really want the steroid moon face to disappear now...

Right then, what to do with my child free day? Endless possibilities (going to ignore the pile of laundry that needs doing!)…

    Hi

Nope doesn’t sound ridiculous to me! I hope you managed to ignore the laundry.

    My three good things today

    1. I am just back from a lovely e bike ride. It’s hot and sweaty out there so riding down the hill was just the ticket

    2. I finished my first proper quilting project. It’s full of  imperfections but I’m pleased with it.

    3. I went to see Toy Story 4 with my girls. Laughed out loud
