1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Hi everyone
Sorry I haven’t written recently but have liked all your posts even though I haven’t ‘liked’ them if you know what I mean.
I’ve struggled over the last week and ashamed to say I couldn’t find even one good thing most days and didn’t have the energy to type anything anyway but:
1 Here I am back in the world of the living
2. After your comment Daloni on Peonies I did finally manage to pick a bunch of mine which over my down days looked as bad as I had felt even though I had staked them! The bunch really cheer me. Thanks again. You always help me.
3. At Hospital appointment today was told once this trial is over I should be able to have the maintenance drug without the need of a PICC line so it can come out! Not counting my chickens but YEAH!
Daloni, I saw you mentioned an Op. I don’t know the details but I hope it all goes well and I’ll be thinking of you.

Sussexovarian. I'm glad you are feeling a little better and are able to enjoy your peonies. I have only one peonie in my garden and u wouldn't dare to pick it. It would look very sad indeed in its own little vase. Note to self 'must do better'.
Daloni. I think your bag is amazing. I'm sure it didn't need to be quite so complicated but it looks all the better for it. Well done.
3 Good things
Today i made the rash decision to go to the lakes for the day with my son. Booked a hotel and drove away from the east coast rain. Arrived in Keswick to warmth and almost sunshine.
Had a lovely walk down by the lake this evening followed by a great bar meal
Feels great to have been impromptu. Where did that ability go during my treatment
Polly
Hi
I am sorry to hear you’ve been so down - and I do hope you’ve bottomed out and will continue to pick up. My vase of pink peonies is just lovely and it’s nice to think of us both enjoying our respective bunches of flowers. I am looking forward to the agapanthus flowering. Last year it managed just one flower but that was mainly because I forgot to feed it. This year the Miracle Gro has been true to its promise. I gave up counting at 30 buds. Polly take note....
The op is to replace a uteric stent - it is keeping the tube between my right kidney and my bladder open where a tumour has blocked it. It’s been an ongoing saga as it needs replacing regularly. The hospital loses me every time so I have to keep on top of them. Last time they did it I ended up with a massive infection afterwards and a ten day hospital stay. They had to take out the new stent and replace it with a temporary one that should be changed in six months. They forgot it was temporary, didn’t recall me and then when I chased it up, the urologist insisted it wasn’t due to be replaced for a year. So I called the radiologist who put in the temporary stent to check it out. A week later I had a letter for the pre op. They are useless and I am mighty glad I get my cancer care at a different hospital.
Three good things.
1. Scan results. Still sinking in. Details in another post.
2. It was nice to catch up with a couple of women I’ve met at the trials unit, especially as we all three had good scan results today. Must have been a nice day for the doctors too.
3. I had a long wait for my tablets to take home but I managed to finish a second crocheted Harry Potter. He’s so cute.

Hi
Your impromptu trip sounds lovely. I do hope the sunshine lasts for you.
Thank you for your kind comments about my bag. You are quite right. It didn’t need to be so complicated. I got carried away.
Xx
That purse, bag is so beautiful!! That's so much talent. I'm procrastinating simply hemming a pair of shorts by the size of the hem already on them (rolling it under and sewing it up.) You could start a business...
What a lot you have been through Daloni. I had an infection with the stents I had after my big op but once they were out that was it and so far I haven’t needed any more.
Today is definitely a new day!
1. I feel better than I have in weeks which is weird considering how I was two days ago. I was told yesterday at my appointment that unlike chemo, immunotherapy gives unpredictable and irregular side effects and they were right. I still feel weird but even my ability to reason has improved overnight.
2. Had lovely cuddles with my three youngest granddaughters.
3. Felt happy enough to draft what will be a letter I want to leave my grandchildren so they hopefully will smile rather than cry. I know that seems a strange good thing but it’s been on my mind for a long while and I actually feel really good about what I have written. Hopefully I’ll be tweaking it for a looooong time!
(Bother. Just broken a filling. Somewhere someone doesn’t like me being ‘up’! Typical! You have to laugh)

I envy you your trip Kircal. I’ve never been to the lakes but have always wanted too. I lived in Yorkshire for 6 years too! I recently read the second book in the Swallows and Amazons series - a nice and simple book to read with lots of memories of gentle childhood days, but it made me want to visit even more. Perhaps when I’m fit to travel again I’ll get there.
3 good things
I went with my daughter to watch her eldest (8yrs) school swimming lesson. My first outing apart from hospital in weeks and weeks! She’s a good little swimmer and her favourite is the ‘Dolphin’! She actually looked like one. Absolutely brilliant.
Feel so much more with it today.
Blue bubbles for my 17 month granddaughter. Her giggles mend the soul.

My three good things
1. The guy who cuts my grass for me had been while was in hospital yesterday so I spent my post hospital sofa day enjoying the view of the garden. I can see so many beautiful flowers now.
2. My sister came to stay last night and spent the morning with me.
3. Creme caramel for pudding. Mmmm
My three good things for today:
1. Walked almost a mile with my daughter to her house! Most I’ve walked since October and only sat down once when she was talking to a friend as I can’t stand still for long. My 17 month old granddaughter did it too!! Yesterday I taught her to say up down. Today it was flower.
2. Had my tooth/filling done. So now I’m going forward again and not backwards.
3. Put the last of some plants in that I’d bought weeks ago. They’d been left in my wheelbarrow which with the rain had regularly filled up. So now I also have my barrow back.
