1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

My three good things from yesterday
1. My amazing football club pulled off the comeback of the century. Wow my heart was in my mouth for the last 10 minutes
2. After the worst food poisoning I have ever had I am finally eating again and starting to feel a bit better
3. Oh and I am currently in Mallorca again! Woohoo sunshine
Hope everyone is feeling as good as they can today

Well that was a sofa day. Ugh.
1. I did get some crochet done while listening to a good audio book.
2. My big girl made me laugh
3. Weather watching from the sofa. Goodness there was a lot of it
Hello all and especially Daloni and Gobaith.
Good news both of you regarding the BRCA
I am ‘wild type’ and given I have three daughters, 4 granddaughters, 2 sisters and loads of female cousins I was relieved to hear this. Although it did raise that question!
I’ve never asked why ME? But do wonder WHY me? And why there seems to be no investigations into a reason for non hereditary ovarian cancer.
I had a good weekend preparing for this weeks cycle eg. Mowing lawns! Sainsburys, filling freezer, washing etc.
But things never go according to plan do they?
Up very early for hour drive to 8.30 appointment on first day drugs on Wednesday and bloods taken quickly. Saw doc etc but at 12.30 told drugs wouldn’t be ready in time for me to have that day!! Frustration as knock on affect of having to reorganise the week and arrange another family member to take me the extra day. They loose pay for the day or have to use holiday! Also meant extra day of steroids which really affect me. Excuses given - Bank hol week - they knew that, kiddies come first - understandable, people went to lunch!!
Still my three good things over today and yesterday:
1. Despite having another reaction to the carboplatin I managed to take full dose yesterday.
2. Managed both other drugs without a reaction so now had three full cycles. Half way through Hurrah!
3. Know I’m going to have several grotty days but have memories in my mind of the Ok days I’ve had last weekend and will have once I start recovering again.
Hope everyone has a good as possible weekend.

Ok so it’s yesterday’s three good things.
1. I made it to yoga for the first time in ages. It was the gentlest of classes and I came away feeling the benefit
2. My daughter learned how to use the strimmer to edge the grass and just as she finished the guy who cuts the grass turned up. Talk about timing!
3. I finished my crochet project. It’s beautiful. Pics to follow due to clunky software platform....
xx
Dear Daloni,
Your project is BEAUTIFUL!! How did you ever get the time and energy to do it?
Hugs
Millie
Thanks!
The energy is not the issue - it doesn’t take much to crochet. The time - well that’s a testament to the fatigue. I’ve been on chemo for ten of the last 14 months and there have been a lot of sofa days. I think I would actually have gone insane without my crafting skills. It keeps both hands and just enough of my brain busy.
Xx
