Hi All,
I was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer in 2023 and went through Chemotherapy, radio therapy and brachy therapy followed my a surgery to remove my ovaries. I was 40 years old and thrown straight into menopause. I am on HRT & Progesterone now.
For last 8 months i have been having a lot of pain, cramps in my lower abdomen. After MRI, it was clear that i had hemometra(Not sure if it's the right term) but my uterus is filled with blood and it is trapped due to stenosis of vagina and cervix.
My surgeon tried to dilate my cervix but that was unsuccessful. Now i am left in a limbo and can't tell how much pain i am in everyday. I take pain killers everyday now. I have gained 10kg and feel awful about myself. I have always been a healthy and active person and even now i go for my runs, weight training, walks, intermittent fasting. However none of this is helping. I had another MRI today and really hope that someone can help me. I feel so full, and my upper body feels swollen I have to do head stand everyday to drain lymph fluid but it is not a long term solution.
I was wondering if anyone else has gone through a similar problem like me?
Any comment would be really helpful.
Thank you!
Ria
