Hello
My husband has recovered from Lymphoma but is still struggling with worrying if it will come back.
Any illness he gets- ie a Cold/Cough he worries it’s a reoccurrence. He doesn’t go back to see the consultant for 4 months now.
He’s also told me it’s made him feel unattractive, though his hair had come back and he is constantly told how good he looks.
Where can I find out about a local support group where he can talk face to face with others who have been through a similar expertise please.

Hi again Frankie Frankie21 ……. some suggestions for you.
Check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area….. the services my not all be Macmillan but other service providers.
Also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.
Up in the Highlands it’s not that unusual to meet people who will do a 3hr round trip drive to take advantage of their amazing services…… especially their monthly Heamatology Support Group.
You may see I often highlight Lymphoma Action…… the main UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of good reliable information, videos..... basically all things Lymphoma.
They run various Support Platforms…
I highly recommend these groups as this will open a wider support base.
Their Closed FB group alone has over 6000 members and unfortunately you would most likely bump into me on there also ;)
They also run a very good Lymphoma Focused Live your Life Course that is a peer-led self-management course…… available on-line and in-person.
They have a few monthly zoom groups specifically for people in remission.
They also have a great Buddy Service where he can be linked up with someone who has walked the post treatment journey.
The LA helpline is open every week day from 10 till 3 on 0808 808 5555. This is a safe place to talk things through and get support.
