Hi I have 2 stomas and recently I have had problems with my colostomy bag . I am very itchy and just want to take the bag off. My skin isn’t red but this itch is really orating me.
Hi Star10473
It must be very difficult if the bags overlap-my stomas are on either side of my bellybutton so my bags do have space not to be overlapping. However, if my colostomy bag leaks from the side then it will spread over to my urostomy bag so both need changing. I know how much I hate that happening! Same if my urostomy bag leaks and the other bag gets wet.
I do go on holiday regularly and go swimming-I don’t want the bags to rule my life. I’ve been fine in the swimming pool-I just make sure my bags are freshly changed and empty. Would you consider going on an outing like a spa day again?
Sarah xx
