I have been sent 3 samples of this new bag which I love, but can I ask if anyone else has tried them and finds when emptying it's a bit messy to clean seems to go over blue tab and on the outside of the last hard piece of plastic at the end.
i normally use Coloplast soft convex and there's seem to have an extra tail piece so it's easy to clean...maybe I'm doing it wrong I lift the blue tab but that's only ok if it's very liquid.
mine is very thick so need to squeeze it like tube of toothpaste to the end and that's when it gets messy. It's a shame because I wanted to try and loved not having the big foam ring filter as everything gets stuck.
these were perfect if I could master a technique of how to squeeze thick output to the very end without a mess, ended up on hands as well. Yuk!!
any suggestions? Much appreciated
Hi
Welcome to the online community and to poo corner.
It's annoying when you try a new bag and it ticks all the boxes except one and that's the one that causes the most problems. I've just changed from a Salts bag to a Coloplast one after 6 years, not through choice but necessity needed the extra flexibility and flange size for my hernia.
I, unfortunately, have no knowledge of the bag except what I have read and of course they only tell the plus side never the negative ones and can't really answer your question.
I would suggest contacting Salts Healthcare direct and asking the question, they can be contacted on Email: hello@salts.co.uk I have always found them very helpful in answering questions and might be worth a shot,
It is always unfortunate that when we want to try a new bag we only get a few to try and really do need more it might be worth asking for more samples if you contact them as suggested above.
Can I ask that if you solve the problems you pop back and tell us the secret.
Ian
