Hello, my name is Evelyn, and I received a diagnosis on August 5, 2026. I am a Christian, and facing this new phase of treatment has been peaceful for me because I know in whom I have believed; my strength comes from God, who assures me that nothing happens without a purpose. Going through this with God makes it easier and lighter. He renews me and gives me hope, and I believe in the name of Jesus that I will be healed and will return here to share my testimony of what God has done and can do—not only for me but for everyone facing this situation.

  • Hi Evelyn   and a very warm welcome to this corner of the Macmillan Community but so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

I am Mike and I have been on my cancer journey for over 26 years…… first diagnosed in 1999 at 43 with my first rare (8 in a million), hard to treat, incurable T-Cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

My Asbestosis was diagnosed in 2012…. then in late 2013 my second very rare, (4 in a million hard to treat, very aggressive T-Cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma appeared…… and recently in April I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

Due to me having to be treated for my 2 rare T-Cell NHLs at the same time my main treatment journey from late 2013 to late 2015 was rather complicated (See my story) but I am coming up to 11 years out from my last treatment, I turned 70 last Nov and I am doing great.

So I know that navigating this journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but having been a Christian since 1969…… my Faith has had a significant positive effect on my cancer journey

It started back in 1999 when my first Lymphoma had a median survival set at 3-5 years…… the miraculous developments in treatment in itself is a miracle……

But during my years I have experienced some amazing miraculous God interventions.

What type of cancer do you have Evelyn?
