A few years back I posted a daily Chocolate Free Advent Calendar on the 24 days lead up to Christmas - mind you I do love Chocolate.
So I thought it would be good to share it again in our little corner of the Community as a daily encouragement and reminder to us all about the Reason for this Season.

To finish our calendar this year the last door opens to our final song that unpacks the reality that Christmas was ONLY the beginning of the story.

Hi Owenduc and welcome to our little corner of the Mac Community. I can’t believe that this it’s now over 8 months since I put this up.
Always around to chat.
I have not had time to do a new Chocolate Free Advent Calendar this year so I am posting this addition to the last one and to bump it on the community feed to bring the Good news of Christmas.
Below is taken from Advent and Christmas Wisdom from Henri J. Nouwen
Lord Jesus,
Master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas.
We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day.
We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us.
We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom.
We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence.
We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light.
To you we say, ‘Come Lord Jesus!’
Amen.
I also read these great words today:
There is nothing so magical and lovely as watching and waiting for dawn. The exultant cacophony of birds singing the world awake. The warming of the night sky. The sun cracking like an egg over the horizon, shimmering light spreading as it rises. This is the imagery Isaiah is evoking in the passage below.
Dawn brings hope and the thrill of a new day, full of possibility, freedom, and joy.
Isaiah 60:1-5 (ESVUK)
Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
And nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Lift up your eyes all round, and see;
they all gather together, they come to you;
your sons shall come from afar,
and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
Then you shall see and be radiant;
your heart shall thrill and exult,
because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
Christmas blessings to everyone who looks though this post.
