    Dearest Chrissi,

I'm so sorry you're facing this terrible rollercoaster ride of emotional turmoil and anxiously waiting for results once again. The next two weeks are going to be the longest for you. My heart goes out to you. It feels even more upsetting when this horrid disease crosses the paths of beautiful, young (newly married, young children) ladies such as yourself. As Paula and Jean have already said, try and remain positive (easier said than done i know). I have no advice for you regarding your lumps, but try to cling on to the thought that it's not necessarily cancer and if it is, treatments these days are excellent. And echoing Jean and Paula again, You sound like a strong person, with a great supportive family behind you and you CAN get through this again if need be.
I hope and pray that you get good news and your lumps are completely unrelated to cancer on the 21st. Please keep in touch.
My very best wishes and big hugs
    Love Chelle x

We posted at the same time!!

    Yeah what is a buff??

Jean i'm pleased your fingers are nothing more than side effects..phew!
Laila it's great that they fitted a line for you, much better than trying to access a tiny vein...ouch :-(

    Dear Chrissi,

You must be having such a stressful time and you have already gone through so much. I have not had anything similar with regards to the new lumps so I cannot offer much advice or share experience but I just want to say that I am thinking of you.

    Stay strong

    Jean,

Pleased about your fingers - are they still the same or has the side effect gone?

    Chelle,

It wasn't that the veins in my hand were tiny - they were big enough but full of valves so they could not put the line in far enough. But the vein in my neck was tiny....

Welcome and big hugs Chrissi, as the others said you are so young to be having such a poo time, i hope your results are good and you can relax and you have young children to fight on for so keep your chin up Chrissi. x

Paula glad i not the only one who feels like someone has stirred my brain with a spoon - i mashed too :-) taste buds up creek to - just think on Monday our tea will taste better than sex hahaha.

Everybody - a BUFF is like a material shaped toilet roll shape (tube) and you pop one end on your head and can leave the rest flowing like hair{:-) or put elastic band over like pony tail and rouche it, or just tuck it under at back - lots of ways to wear it and easy too. got it at christies at a Headstart session they show you how to fasten large scarves etc. i paid £7 for the buff (they £15 in blacks shop in trafford) and paid £3 for scarf and £5 for my fringe.

Jeanie keep moisturizing you will end up with great looking hands and feet :-) Yes taste buds gone out window craving somet sweet and theres nothing at all in aaargh!

Laila hope you sleep better tonight glad the line made the chemo easier.Great you met someone from Norway and had a good natter, have your eyelashes gone wondering if that causing the watering eyes?
My husband not read up on things or ask much - i tell him though and he sort of nods and says Rite. But he a bit like that with most things haha.

Chelle and Marian and Kev nice to hear from you.hope you all goodx x

Come ladies lets be merry (and knackered haha) i on the wine. - Did you hear about the man with 5 willies...............

He said his under pants fitte him like a glove -- bum bum x

    Morning All

Stef you are so funny! Keep it up! Thanks for explaining about the buff!

Hope you and Paula are ok today after yesterday's chemo.

I like your new picture in your profile. Also yours Laila. You look just like me! Having the line fitted will make things so much easier from now on.

I've still got one knackered vein (4th lot of EPI did for it!)

Fingers much the same this morning. Really have to watch when lifting drinks that I hold on tightly, especially my wine!

I've changed the picture in my profile to let you all see my 6 wonderful grandchildren. I tried to reduce it and copy and paste it in here but couldn't get it to work! Chemo head or senility?

Off to the pub for lunch today. Might just take and old sock and get them to microwave it and cut down on the bill!!!!

    Take care all.

    Love Jean xx

    Hi everyone!
Steff, hope you got your naan bread lol
Jean your grandchildren are so beautiful, you must be so proud of them. By the way my oncologist told me yesterday that my next lot of chemo has a side effect of tingling and numbness in the finger tips and toes. Hope this puts your mind at rest that it's nothing else. Love the sock idea, will save a fortune if you eat out like I do lol.
First time last night I slept on steroids, this one has finished me off. Just ordered the glue for my eyebrows and lashes, by the sound of it it looks like they will be disappearing on this one, bit gutted really but I suppose it's one of those things.
Have a great day everyone!!! xxx

    Hi Paula

My eyebrows and lashes went after the 4th one. However the good news is they were the first things to grow back in. I used an eyebrow pencil for 2 weeks and then had to ditch it as the eyebrows started to grow and I didnt't want to discourage the growth by rubbing off the pencil at night!!!

Hair on the legs was the next thing to return, only faintly. Then the head hair! I can pull it at the back now! Still not nearly enough to abandon my good and trusty friend, Wilma, yet.

Still only 1 hair under the dodgy arm and none under the other one. Still that's good, no need to shave!!!

Thanks for telling me what your onc said. I really feel ok about the dodgy fingers now.

    Love Jean xx
