Hello my name is Heather I have just been diagnosed with brest cancer last week for the first time (and last I hope) Both my sisters have had cancer,one died seven month ago Im a bit scared of what to expect with the chemo. Can anyone tell me how soon after the treatment do you start to feel ill? How soon do you lose your hair?
What a month. My sister has had a biopsy in both breasts and the consultant has told her it isn't good news. My mum is in a terrible state and apparently my sister ran out of the hospital and her boyfriend had to speak to the consultant, she is not a strong person and has a mental history. For my mums sake I hope my MRA and CT scans come back o.k otherwise I don't know how she will cope. Flippen eck!!!!!

So sorry about your sis's news! How awful for everyone..your poor sis, plus the extra strain on you and your mum.. Not what you need to hear right now. Hope your sister can face everything and get started on her treatment a.s.a.p. I wish her all the best.
You'll always have loads of support on here and everyone is here to listen..
I'm so sorry that you and your family have a double whammy. Your poor mum worrying about both her daughters going through this awful experience. Good luck for today, its about time your family hear some positive news!!

Hi Paula, Sorry to hear about your sister. Your poor mum. Maybe this horrible thing will bring the family together! You can be suport for her if you can get talking. In November I found out my sister in law was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer. She had a limpectomy and didnt need chemo or radio so fingers crossed your sisters cancer is one that can be tacken away without further treatment. Hope you scan goes well and when do you get your results? hope the waits not to long.
To everyone else I hope you having a good day. I am going out for lunch with a couple of friends but I feel like canceling it as I cant be bothered as its to much an effort. I supose I should go otherwise I will just have another lazy day. On Friday I am off to visit my brother in Finchely London. I will be back on Tueasday. I hope the weather is good as he has a heated pool in his garden so fingers crossed I will be able to have a dip.
Hi everyone. Thanks Jean, Chelle and Lorraine for your best wishes. I had the final scan today so back to the waiting game, I think I will probably get results on Wednesday when my chemo starts. My sister had a call from the hospital telling her she will receive her results next Tuesday and in the meantime she has to have an MRA scan .Lorraine have a great time at your brothers, fingers crossed the weather is good and you can make the most of the pool. My appointment should come through for my wig fitting soon so my friend and I are going to go together and have a scream trying them on lol. Hope everyone else has had a good day xxxxxxx
Paula you sound like your in high spirits today, which is great to hear what with everything you and your family are going through. Wigs can be fun :-)
