    hello all,
im feeling alot better after chemo 5, last tuesday.taste buds are coming back.
i went to the doctors yesterday, about my piles and constipation. it seems i have torn and bruised myself. i feel like someone has kicked me up the bottom wearing steel toe caps. so the gave me suppossatries, cream and lactulaose, lets hope that does the trick. ( give me chemo anyday this is worse. lol).
ive had appt for my operation, and just had pre op appt through today too, its all happening now.ive to phone hospital to book the photographer ( im gonna be a page 3 model lol).

Jean i looked at your wig, its great, the short ones seem more natural looking. i have one but dont wear it. but ive got about 10 head scarfs all different colours.

hi helen, hypnotherpy sounds good to me .this journey is like a rollercoster. i find i get angry furstrated, depressed and positive all at the same time. and unfortunatley my family get the brunt of it.
ive been going for counselling which is helping. and i am going on a 5 day retreat in july at The Penny Brohn cancer centre in bristol.

coming on this website really helps, we are not alone, and thoughts we have are normal for people in our situation. But its not a situation we chose to be in, thats what makes it so hard.

    tc all Blossom xxx

    Hi everyone,

Hi Marmalade and Margaret, Thanks for your lovely comments about the new photo, it was actually taken last summer. I was trying to download a photo of me in my wig, however the website kept cutting my head off!! which is no good when im trying to show everyone my wig!! lol. So until i take a new photo (in the wig) i chose in new photo to display instead.

Hi Blossom, you must be sooo pleased to be moving on to the next phase of your treatment...woo-hoo!! Sorry about your constipation etc..Lets hope the creams etc work quickly. Piles are really painful, i know!! :-(

Hello to everyone else, hope you've all had lovely sunny weather today...puts a smile on ya face :-D

    Take care,
    Chelle x x

    Hi All

I have had a mini chemo coma for 2 days, but fine now.

Chelle, I thought the wig was ab fab!! Now i know why...................it's your real hair, you little tinker.

Margaret how was the radiotherapy today? Wilma behaved herself yesterday in the sun. it was a wee bit warmer today, though. I daresay that if it gets really hot, I will resort to a scarf/bandana.

Thanks to you all for your compliments about Wilma, by the way.

Blossom, I hope you get your problems sorted out soon. When do you have your op? I hope it goes well, whenever it is.

    Thinking of everyone, as always.

    Jean x

hello....do you think the chemo makes you cry a lot ? i cant seem to stop, and im getting on my own nerves. im on day 4 of the first, does it get better after the first week?. also i cant stop eating which i dont like because im usually able to control what i eat.and my choices are not that good, wotsits and lemon sherberts....they are not very cancer fighting .im sorry to sound so moany, i dont want to bring any of you down because you all seem to cope with it all so well. blossom, my friend has a friend that went to that center and she said that the experience was incredible. i was looking to go there before i started chemo but just could never find a slot. this certainly is a rollercoaster ride and at the moment i feel like it broke down and im hanging upside dow !!! xxxxxxxx

hi, everyone, well what lovely weather. you must agree that the sunshine does help to give you a bit of a boost and make you feel better in your self. trouble is when the suns out, it shows all the dirt on your windows, and dust on other things, so you end up spring cleaning the house. i don't think my home as ever been as clean, but thats a good thing except i tire too easily because i do not know when to stop. ha, ha, i do hope you are all resting after your treatments, there is no excuse so go and relax with a book and watch the wild life. hi chelle, thanks for your message xxx
  • Hi All

Chelle - Glad you on the better side of the chemo chelle, I slowing down a bit now as my head is full of planning as will be in hosp Mon - thurs next week and leaving hubby with kids, so trying to write shoppin list so he can cook quick stuff and still have time to bring children to visit me, and writing him lists on how to use the washer (he is pretty good - can cook iron and clean so not too worried) . i told my son and he ok - was worried about telling him as he has close friends who have lost parents to cancer and one of his friends mums who had 5 children comitted suicide through having cancer (i think it must have been a terminal diagnosis) so as you can imagine i had to tread carefully and not worry him. He ok within a couple hours answering back and being his usual self :-) glad you feeling ok after your chemo (now). I am powered by sunshine if it turns cloudy i put my pj's on and go on strike and if it sunny i start painting fence panels and have huge energy, i have that SAD thingy - should live in spain really.

Blossom hope your piles are feeling a bit more comfortable you dont need that on top of what your going through do you :-)

Jeanie Jean - love your wig it looks lovely, glad to hear your picking up after your chemo :-)

Helen sorry to hear your feeling very tearful, i not had chemo am waiting for op on tues (going today for mr scan and pre op appt) but the upset must be caused by the medication as it must be powerful stuff to do its job, really hope you feel a bit smilier soon :-)

Thinking of you all. Love Stef x

    Hi All

Helen I can't stop eating either! I have put on half a stone since I started the chemo. Just let the tears come. We all feel like that from time to time.

Ladies, all of you bursting with energy...............take it easy. The steroids do this to you and then when you come off the steroids you come down with a bang. I know to my cost. After the second chemo I went mad, Cleaning, polishing, scrubbing etc for about 3 days and then felt like sh-- for days afterwards. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security with the steroids.

Stef I'm so glad thing went well when you told your son. It's awful having to tell your children. However they are very resilient at times. My "kids" are all married with families of their own, but they do keep me going with visits, phone calls and little treats, like lunch out! More food!!!!!!

I was so good 3 years ago and lost 2 stone in weight and got back down to a size 10/12. Now i am creeping up again to a 14. I keep saying that I'm going to cut down, but what the hell, Time for that after the treatment, I do feel!!!!

Thinking of you all and PLEASE take it easy all of you pumped up with steroids!

    Love Jean x
