Hello Everyone!
Thanks for the advice about the hair and I think I will wait until it starts to go and then get rid! Well a week since my first chemo and you are right the time has gone quickly can't believe it! Just feeling really tired now but thats ok as I am in the lucky position of being able to rest (no children or pets) Taste is slowly returning but I know it will go again so am making the most of it!
Sam - so glad youre not sick. My tastebuds went within 24 hours and I started to use difflam mouthwash which helped a little. My mouth and gums are sore but no ulcers so far... You may find when you go to sign on that the Jobcentre advise you to close your JSA claim and claim Employment Support Allowance (used to be Incapacity Benefit) this may be easier for you as you won,t need to sign on each fortnight as available for work. I don't know for sure but it may be more then JSA. BUT try not to worry about it as you have enough to deal with.
Stef - I,m the same with the tiredness but am luckily able to rest when I want to infact I think I need to do more as you are all doing more then me at the moment. Does anyone avoid supermarkets etc when cell count is at its lowest or am I being too paranoid
Lorraine - because i was so sick I was eventually given a drug called Ondansetron which helped. it's quite expensive apparantely and not given initially (funny that!) I hope you are well for your holiday and have a lovely time
Love and best wishes to you allxx
