Well here i am again at 4.30 in the morning and i can't sleep yet again!! My husband Darryl has terminal small cell cancer and, at the moment is going through a really good phase. Which, i would have thought, would set my mind at rest and enable me to sleep. But no, here i am again having had 2 hrs sleep tonight wide awake with mad thoughts running around my head!! This is driving me crazy and i just seem to be on auto pilot all the time. Darryl is 44 years old and we have been given a prognosis of a 2-3 year life span for him. I can't seem to let go of this thought, and maybe part of me can't sleep because of that, as i feel if i'm asleep i'm wasteing precious time!! Darryl is sound asleep and resting well, and if i stay upstairs next to him listening to his breathing, i keep thinking is this the last time i'll ever hear that and end up getting so uptight and worried that i find it better to just get up again. So i wander round the house do a few chores, have a hot caffiene free drink and will myself to sleep all to no avail i might add!! hahaha surely i'm not the only carer who never sleeps, or am i????? any comments gratefully recieved. Take care my friends and hope your all sleeping well. love and hugs mel xxx

    Hi Twomble
If you need some major stress relief I am going out to spring clean the stables (frustration busting) and would welcome the company. Given up the idea of doing my marking and lesson planning!
  • Teresa, computers, eh? they are brill when they work, though!!!

    Hi Moomy My little Chicken,

good to see you about how are things today?

Hope this gets through and my computer doesn't have gremlins like some others seem to have! lol

love and hugs mother hen mel xx
  • Hello, Mother Hen Mel, I'm getting to grips with a couple of big loads of laundry, Caz has whisked herself (and her housemate who also came to stay) off again, hubby and I call her our whirlwind between ourselves! she now has a rehearsal in Birmingham, she's 'on trial' with the Orchestra up there and rather wants to get the job, so was a wee bit anxious to get going! It is comical, they put her 'on trial' without her even auditioning, it happens when you get well enough known, and she has freelanced for quite a few years now. She just lives life to her very fullest, and I love and admire her for that!

    Hi juls

The company would be nice but at the moment spring cleaning stables sounds like too harder work and sweat wrenching, Ive just been for a walk and worked up a right one!! could be because when I got up this morning I put on a thick polo neck as felt cold then put on my coat for a walk and didnt realise how warm it was outside so have now opened all windows and patio doors to cool down!!! hope you having good weekend, love Teresa xx

    Hi Juls My little chicken,

How are you today? i hope alls well.

You have stables? lucky you i used to own 16 ponies when i was young that me and my sister bought between us by doing fruit picking and not going to school may i add!! hahaha we used to give kids riding lessons at £2.50 per lesson but got shut down in the end as we wasn't qualified instructors or a registered business!!! oooppppssss very naughty of us but we were still at school at the time so knew nothing of legal stuff. Mind you we had loads of customers and we even used to give out rosettes to all the kids as they learnt new things just as a little incentive. Sadley we had to sell them all soon after but it was the best years of my life when we had the ponies and really miss some of them sometimes.

How many horses/ponies do you have?

And i'm not sure if i have welcomed you personally to my thread so if i haven't i would like to give you a very warm welcome now! so welcome you are now another of my little chickies who i tend and nuture!!!

You will find all of us on here very friendly and so supportive of each other. We stick together no matter what. Through good bad or indifferent so please feel free to join in anytime you like. You are very very welcome

Hope to hear from you very soon love and hugs mother hen mel xxxx
