Hi everyone
I am just trying to navigate myself around the site. Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

HI Salle, In my experience, if there is regrowth (and always assume there won't be of course xx) whether they suggest a debulk depends very much, as with after the initial diagnosis, on the location and size and how your Mum is.
You know that any possible regrowth may or may not be in the same site. Basically they have to think that a second debulk will leave your Mum in a better condition for having it.
But the decision will always be your Mum's. I think a second debulk is for some not always as 'easy' as the first operation to recover from.
More of the same or another chemotherapy is another possible alternative.
I think you are doing what I used to do; have plan B and plan C ready in case this or that happens. If you can try not to dwell on 'what ifs'. If you are like me then you will have to make plan B and plan C but make them then forget about them and enjoy the here and now. Easier said than done I know.
Debs, very good to read the headaches have gone. Have a great time - definitely not skating?
Glass of water for Martyn please!
Best wishes all on this bitterly cold day.

Now, now Martyn, you know you didn't cope well with the sight of my cane. Don't want you getting over-excited again!!!

Sue, I hope the dex is having a good effect on Paul's balance. It's a complex drug but can have amazing effects.
I remember from previous conversations the effects of rt can be very hard to pin down. And of course a second rt treatment, being quite rare may give unexpected side effects.
Keep strong.

My beautiful husband lost his battle last night. At peace now. x

I wish you strength to get through the tough times ahead until you reach a place where memories of your beloved make you smile instead of cry and hurt.
