My beloved dad

I’ve been through this and I understand it’s hard truth is there is nothing you can do to prepare either yourselves or your mum just be there and reassure her that you will help her through whatever she needs you to, from my dad being told his time was up in 6 months we had 2 weeks and it all happened so fast so my advice is talk about everything , hold each other close and if you need anyone to talk to I’m happy to be a shoulder for you . It’s so so unbelievably tough but you will find a way … I’m sorry if this isn’t much help but I promise you you can do this and will find a way to manage whatever happens xxx

Thank you for your kind words and support. Not being in control of my emotions and thoughts is mentally and physically draining but I will find the strength somehow! I will be there for my dad and mum, they looked after me, it's my turn now.

These things are sent to test us believe me !! I’m such an emotional person and I struggle in the best of days to keep my emotions under control but when you are trying to support others dealing with their own it’s even harder , Thankyou for responding with such kind words too , sometimes it helps just to know you are not alone . Be prepared for the influx of support and then for it all to disappear again , be prepared for the ups and downs and take every day as it comes , you are only human and can only do what you can remember to look after you !! Here if you wanna chat anytime I have replies on so will get notifications , take care of yourself and know you are not alone and you can get through this one step at a time . Also just to say there are lots of services to supoort with arranging things I didn’t use them personally but know friends that have Macmillan can also help guide you in the right direction if you call their helpline they can signpost you , at 37 I never imagined I would be going through this but it’s all a process just be sure to lean on people if you need to xx

I know I'm not alone but chatting with you helps a lot, you didn't have to reach out but you have xx Even though I've lost other family and good friends along the way, this feels so much harder, I guess that's because I have to step up and be strong this time, those other times it was someone else's responsibility to be strong?!. I will heed all your advice and hopefully it will help me  get through xx Sleep hasn't come easy last two nights and I don't expect tonight to be any different but you have definitely helped me with you perspective, I'll re-read your msgs when I need reminding.
