She (41) has breast cancer for only 18 months but the surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and general care has all failed. It has spread heavily to her liver and Tre new chemo she has started today is her last chance. If it doesn’t work then she might have a month left. I don’t know how to cope, she’s too young and too beautiful a soul to go so soon. What do I do to get through this without just giving up.
Hi Ataxerxes
So sorry to read this though glad you have reached out on here. I am sure the last thing your wife would want is for you to feel you have to give up. Grief however is very real and often we find ourselves mourning for the life we though we would have even before our loved on dies.
If you think it might help you I think it might be worth speaking to one of the staff on our helpline. I know I have cried at them in the past and they are really wonderful and patient and perhaps can help you both make the best of whatever time you have left. https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/get-help/emotional-help/macmillan-support-line
