Hi all,
I’m new to this group.
At the beginning of August I was diagnosed with three metastatic lesions in my brain. Because of headaches I was administered to take 2x4 doses of steroids in my morning and evening. Having these tapered on advice from the oncology to 4x2 in the morning. However this led me not being hungry. I have since been put onto energy drinks and to take 2 tablets in the evening.
However it was necessary that before any treatment could begin CUP would have to be carried out. The oncologist advised that until that was known no treatment plan could be put in place. I had melanoma and mole removed during 2021 and it is thought that that may be the primary source.
I have an appointment for an MRI scan on my head later this week with a body scan scheduled for the following week.
It is the waiting for the scans and subsequent test results that cause concern.
Has anyone in this group experienced the same?
