Hi all.
Really struggling with my hubby's mental health and don't know how to help in.
He had bowel cancer a couple years ago, which was operated on, found out at the same time he had prostate cancer, then 6 months ago his cancer had spread to his liver, still awaiting the results of radiotherapy. Also is in heart failure. I know he has alot going on but he doesn't talk to me or anyone. I have offered to go and speak with someone with him, but he is just not a great talker.
He dosent want to do anything and even taking the dog out is an effect.
Any help would be appreciated
Sue
Hi Sue Gunners63 the pressures on the family can be such a challenging and stressful time.
To widen you platform for support can I suggest you join and post in our Carers only support group where you will connect with others dealing with the same challenges while supporting family during these difficult times.
Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing and aim to give support to all the family.
Please do get back to me if you need further help ((hugs))
