Hi Delphine, I see it’s your first post on the Online Community so welcome and sorry to hear about your Kidney Cancer diagnoses.
A cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time, I have been on my incurable blood cancer journey for over 23 years now, I have had multiple relapses but I am still here and living a good a life that any 66 year old can live.
When it comes to support there is nothing better than talking with others who are on the ‘exact’ same cancer and treatment journey so can I suggest that you consider joining our supportive Kidney cancer group.
This is a safe place to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link(s) I have created above. Once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go. You could copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.
Give me a shout if you need further help.
All the very best ((hugs))
Thanks for your lovely reply Mike ! Sorry just seen your reply or would have got in touch ! You’ve given me some hope at least ! These Black moods have came from nowhere , I need lots of reassurance as felt I had to drag everything out of the Doctor's! The Doctors are really wonderful but couldn’t get that reassurance ! Anyway I’m having Counseling starting next week through Kidney Cancer Uk once a week , through a trained Psychotherapist , to try and work out my feelings and put things in some sort of context as can’t help but dwelling on the negative !
your reply was valued very much indeed Mike ! Keep in touch
Delphine
Hi Jane !
yes my two wonderful grown up children and their families are great support ! It’s hard not to be down around them and feel like a burden going over and over again , but they seem to there for me ! I think about how all of this is affecting them as well !
Thanks again for reply x
