I am 9 month pro hysterectomy for cervical cancer but just don’t know how to release my emotions about it all. I need to talk to someone who has gone through what I have and understands my feelings etc, any advice of groups I can look into?
one min I’m angry and then I’m crying, I’m about to loose my job I love due to things that has happened since the operation., I just a mess.
Hi Peace73 the post treatment part of the journey can be hard work. You could have a look at our Life after cancer group
Do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area and do also check out for a local Maggie's Centre in your area as these folks are amazing.
We also have our Telephone Buddy Service where you can be matched with someone who understands what you're going through, and they'll give you a weekly call.
The highlanders suggestions are really awesome! I just want you to know I read your post and I am feeling sad for you.
I have not been thru this (YET)...I will be having a hysterectomy to search for Cancer but presently I am undergoing steps toward breast cancer surgery.
I am going to friend you because I want to follow how you get on....because I feel I will be in the same situation soon.
I do have a therapist and psychologist to talk to.....sometimes that is not enough...so I love the suggestions you were given.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
