My mum has just been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer and has spread to her liver and kidney. How do you cope!! ??
Hi C
Sorry you find yourself on here and the news of your Mum. I posted similar March last year. It’s a heartbreaking and difficult time. You’ll want to support your Mum and be there for her every step of the way.
Just have time for her and make the very most of this precious time. We had lots of days out and in , fun filled memories to cherish. You will cope and be strong for your Mum. I broke down once in front of mine I kept my crying meltdowns for when I was at my own home.
You should be allocated a Macmillan nurse pretty soon . She/he shall visit your Mum at home. They’ll advise and ask your Mum how she s feeling. My Mum didn’t complain once, she just accepted her situation and made the most of her time.
Also an oncologist appointment? to discuss any palliative care. My Mum decided against Chemo.
It’s devasting news I still can’t believe what happened to our family last year.
We are all here for you, lovely.

live each day as though it were your last x
Julie ann- sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis of stage 4. I saw you had posted here hon and was worried you might not get a reply as this thread is from a few years ago. It might be a good idea to look at joining the forum for family and carers of someone with cancer. You are likely to find support from others in similar positions to you own. Take care x
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
