Hi I’m new to this group and I am very nervous about my upcoming chemo treatment.I will be having a 3 month course of xerox and capecitabine tablets ,can anyone Share their experience, thanks
Are you having a pretreatment appointment to meet the team? They will explain the emergency procedure. The red card will have a number you can call 24 7 if for example your temperature shoots up or you feel unwell. If that happens it's important you get treatment asap as could be sign of sepsis. They are also there for advice - I got given antibiotics that could of interacted badly with my anti sickness meds. Only realised in evening so unit closed. Called red card team and they sorted me new anti sickness meds.
Thanks for explaining what red team is . I am having a pre chemo call on the 14th so hopefully will get more advice then. Once again thank you for your reply, I hope all goes well with you .
