Hi , my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer last year,  he's had chemo and immunotherapy,  was still having immunotherapy every 6 weeks up until today , his tumor had shrunk and looked positive,  but had results of latest scan and it's regrow.

They've now said he's going to a different hospital,  to hopefully go on a clinical trial,  if he isn't accepted,  his consultant said he may only have between 6 and 9 months.

I'm in bit's,  he's not so bad as very positive.

Has anyone had any experience of similar experiences of trails ? Did they work ? Thanks xx

I.

  • Hello. My partner has just had a brain tumour debulked.  Like you, I'm terrified but my partner seems to be taking it all in his stride.  I have no energy at all, but can’t sleep.  I know this is not a response to your post but in some bizarre way, it helps to know that someone else knows how we/I feel.

  • My husband is awaiting a trial too.....he has had so many tests etc .......its a roller coaster isnt it?....we find out thursday ......good luck and best wishes

  • Thanks,  yes it definitely is, we're just waiting for an appointment to see if he's excepted now x

  • Yes thank you , at least it's not just me, some people say you need to be the stronger one to keep him going and positive,  but I'm just not that person x
