Hello
My first time posting, i am going to be careing for my lovely dad who’s been givin 6/12 months beyond sad as everyone is on this forum.
I know that I am about to go down a very horrible painful time but having someone to talk to who is going through this hell would help.
we can be strong together hopefully.
Having to be strong is so exhausting.
Any tips would be for ever grateful.
Hi Leona,
Glad that you found your way here. I hope that you can find some support with our community.
The way me and mine see it is a prognosis is a target to be challenged.
A routine will probably evolve whereby you can live the up days and roll over the downs.
Your Dad's medical team should be able to point you to additional support in your area. My husband goes to a meeting once a month for two hours. Turns out I can sleep in the car while he has coffee and cake!
Are you working? They may be able to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your caring role.
Make memories. Picnic in a park. Time doing hobbies. Tick something off a bucket list. A diagnosis is time for doing.
Hugs
