Hi everyone
I have posted intermittently on here for almost the last 5 years. In Sept 2021, my mum was diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer. 1 surgery, 4 rounds of chemo and 4.5 years later, she has been given the all clear.
I am so grateful to this Macmillan community. I think it has been the only place I haven’t had to fake it! Fake not being totally overwhelmed, fake not being in floods of tears after a letter or appointment.
I think having this community both online and a phone call away is such a lifeline to be able to share fears and feelings with people who truly understand what you are going through.
Thank you so much to this community and macmillan for all you do to support people and their families who are going through cancer.
And to everyone supporting someone, I wish you all the strength, hope and love in the world.
